CRISIS MANAGEMENT
TRUSTED MESSAGING WHEN IT MATTERS MOST.
In critical moments, organisations need more than advice. The right response must limit risk, protect reputation and maintain trust. Jo provides senior-level crisis management and communications support in Prague and Central Europe, helping organisations prepare for and respond to high-pressure situations. She can also act as a trusted corporate spokesperson, ensuring communication remains clear and authoritative under pressure.
Jo supports organisations with:
- Crisis communication strategies and approaches to messaging
- Crisis response materials including statements, Q&As, and internal briefings
- Communication with stakeholders
- Media handling and spokesperson coaching, maintaining control of the narrative.
- Real-time advisory support during active crises
Experience
Having started working in the former Czechoslovakia soon after its Velvet Revolution of 1989, Jo was one of the first foreigners to experience the very different complexities of setting up and running a company in a country where just about everything was changing at enormous speed. As a consequence, she quickly became one of the first ‘experts’ in managing the many crises that befell foreign companies, in particular, that had set-up in business assuming that it would be no different from setting-up in any other Western European city. Something that they soon found out was not, in any way, the case.
From agreeing and drafting crisis management plans (or insurance policies, as Jo calls them), preparing letters and notes to stakeholders and employees, calling last minute press conferences and advising on the phone or in person, to acting as the company’s spokesperson, there are very few crises that Jo hasn’t had to manage on behalf of clients over the years.
Whether it is a plane crash, a fire in a mine, an all-out strike or demonstration, or something less dramatic, there is no doubt that having an experienced crisis manager on hand is vital. And even if you only want to be prepared, just in case, it is worth a discussion.
